Can I exit the grounds and re-enter?
Yes, as long as you scan your ticket out, you will be able to re-enter.
Can I buy a ground pass on the day?
Yes, tickets are available at the ticket box office (if it has not been sold out prior).
Can I bring food and drinks into the grounds?
Some food and drinks are permitted into the grounds however such items are subject to security check on arrival at the AO. Guests are permitted to bring non-alcoholic beverages or drink bottles in plastic and food, in permissible packaging, including baby food.
What happens if I lose my ticket?

What will the weather be like?
As this event is held during the Australian summer, temperatures can rise to up to 40 degrees however the average daytime high for this time of year is a warm 26 degrees with temperatures dropping to a low of around 15 degrees.
What should I wear?
There is no set dress code for the Australian Open, however, we recommend dressing comfortably and suitable for the weather.
Melbourne traditionally has unpredictable weather so it is best to be prepared for a variety of conditions. During the day, we recommend wearing sun-protective clothing including a hat along with plenty of sunscreen. For night, it is best to bring a light jacket in case it gets cool.
If I have a ticket for the night session, can I attend the tennis during the day?
All night session ticket holders may enter the grounds from 5pm, no earlier.
If I have a ticket for the day session, can I stay and watch the tennis at night?
Day session ticket holders are permitted to stay and watch tennis on the outside courts for the night session, but must vacate Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena at the conclusion of the day session. If you hold a ticket for Melbourne Arena, your ticket entitles you to your allocated seat for the entire duration of play on Melbourne Arena.
What time can I enter the precinct?
All day session ticket holders can enter the precinct from 10am but must vacate Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena at the conclusion of play for the day session. Day session tickets will still allow you access to the outdoor courts and the outside events held on-site.
All night session ticket holders can enter the precinct from 5pm.
Twilight session tickets can enter the precinct on Friday 31 January from 2pm, on Saturday 1 February from 12pm and on Sunday 2 February from 2pm.
How do I find out who is playing?
The draw will be announced closer to the event date and be released on the Australian Open website.
How do I get to Melbourne Park?
There are a number of different ways to get to the tennis whether it be public transport, car or taxi.
Tram – If arriving by tram disembark at the Rod Laver Arena Tram Stop for the Garden Square Entrance or Melbourne Arena Tram Stop for the Eastern Plaza Entrance.
Car – The nearest parking is available at National Tennis Centre behind Melbourne Arena, due to the limited number of spots you will need to pre-purchase by calling AO Travel team. For all dates it is $35 per car, then from the 24th – 27th pricing is $50 per car.
Taxi – The best place to direct your taxi would be the drop off zone on Olympic Boulevard. Please view the map for further information and to find your nearest entrance.
Can children attend Australian Open 2019 and which areas can they access?
Children under the age of 18 are welcome to attend Australian Open 2020. They must be accompanied by an adult in all licenced venues and any other areas Tennis Australia/Melbourne and Olympic Park nominate. Children over the age of three must carry their own ticket.
Children aged two and under are entitled to enter the event free of charge but must not occupy a reserved seat.
A $5 child’s ground pass is available for children between three and 14 years of age.

Do I have to print my e-ticket or will it scan from my phone?
E-tickets can be scanned via phone, however it is recommended that guests print out a copy as well.
If I am unable to attend can I get a refund?
All tickets, dining and upgrade experiences are non-refundable.
When will I receive my tickets?
Your travel documents are tickets will arrive approximately 2-3 weeks out from your trip. If you require them earlier, please let our team know.
