With 50,773 finishers in 2017, the TCS New York City Marathon is the largest annual marathon in the world. Starting on Staten Island and finishing in Central Park, the course runs through each of the five boroughs: Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan.
Held annually on the first Sunday of November, The TCS New York City Marathon is the preeminent event of the New York Road Runners (NYRR), with participants ranging from the world’s top professional athletes to runners of all ages and abilities. The amazing atmosphere created by your fellow runners and more than one million spectators who line the city’s streets in support will inspire you as you make your way through the iconic New York City.

About the event
The TCS New York City Marathon course runs through the five boroughs of New York City and is 26.2 miles long.
As an official International Travel Partner for the TCS New York City Marathon, when you purchase a package with Keith Prowse Travel you are not required to run a qualifying time. However, you must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to compete.
The first wave starts at 9.50am. The last wave (4) starts at 11am.
Transfers to the race start are operated by New York Road Runners (NYRR). These services are for RUNNERS only. Location of the departure transfer is expected to be from Midtown Manhattan (New York Public Library, Fifth Ave at 42nd Street).
Runners must attend the TCS New York City Marathon Health and Wellness Expo on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday prior to the Marathon to pick up their race numbers in person. Another person is not allowed to pick up your race pack on your behalf. The expo will be held at Jacob Javits Convention Centre located at Halls 3B and 3E, 11th Avenue at West 35th Street, Manhattan.
Parade of Nations; Friday 2 November
Showcasing the diversity of the race, the TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony is a spectacular parade which kicks off TCS New York City Marathon weekend. The festivities which are free and open to everyone celebrates all the runners from around the world and includes a firework display.
Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K; Saturday 3 November
Held the day before the TCS New York City Marathon, the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K sees more than 10,000 runner’s line-up at 8:30 am outside the United Nations to race through Midtown Manhattan.
