Nagoya Half-Day Tour Including Lunch
- Enjoy the highlights of Nagoya on Friday 4, with a Half-Day Tour including Lunch. Firstly you will visit Nagoya Castle, one of the largest castles in Japan. Destroyed in air raids in 1945, the current construction dates to 1959 and contains a modern museum with exhibits on the castle’s history. Next to the Castle is the Tokugawa Art Museum and Garden. The Museum exhibits treasures of the Tokugawa Family, including armor and swords. The accompanying garden was originally part of a retirement residence for local lords. Restored in 2001 and reopened in 2004, it is a beautiful place to stroll. After the garden, you will then head to Atsuta Jingu, founded about 1900 years ago. This shrine is one of the most important in Japan as it enshrines the Sun Goddess Amaterasu-Oomikami and is ranking second only to the Great Shrine of Ise amount Japanese people.
