BMW Berlin Marathon 2018
If you want to experience how it feels running a marathon through a fascinating city you must enter the BMW Berlin Marathon. Known as the fastest course in the world due to its flat profile and even surface, the BMW Berlin Marathon is one of the largest and most popular road races in the world.
Taking place on the last weekend in September, the scenic course will take you past many sights in the German capital including the Reichstag building, Fernsehturm, Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate which is just before the finish line. More than just a marathon, all of Berlin comes to life with more than 70 musical acts on the course and a festival-like atmosphere that attracts huge crowds who want to catch a glimpse of the action.

Course and Race Details
The BMW Berlin Marathon course is famous for its fast pavement and amazing atmosphere.
As an Official International Travel Partner for the BMW Berlin Marathon, when you purchase a package with Keith Prowse Travel you are not required to run a qualifying time. However, you must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to compete.
The BMW Berlin Marathon starts at 9.15 am.
Public transport is recommended to get to and from the event. Transport is free of charge with your race number also serving as a public transport ticket.
Start area: Straße des 17. Juni, between Brandenburg Gate and “Kleiner Stern”.
The nearest stops for public transport, which are no longer than 10-15 minutes’ walk to the start area, include:
- Underground: Friedrichstraße (U6), Hauptbahnhof (U55), Bundestag (U55), Brandenburger Tor (U55), Potsdamer Platz (U2)
- Regional trains: Hauptbahnhof (RE1, RE2, RE7, RB14), Potsdamer Platz (RE4, RE5)(jeweils ca. 10-15 Minuten Fußweg)
- S-Bahn: Hauptbahnhof (S5, S7, S75, S9), Brandenburger Tor (S1, S2, S25), Potsdamer Platz (S1, S2, S25), Friedrichstraße (S1, S2, S25, S5, S7, S75, S9)
At the Expo BERLIN VITAL you will receive your starting documents upon presentation of your registration confirmation. Another person is not allowed to pick up your race pack on your behalf. The Expo BERLIN VITAL highlights the latest lifestyle, fitness, wellness, health, and nutrition trends. The Expo hosts more than 190 national and international exhibitors and offers everything related to sports performance, functional wear, nutrition, sports medicine, active vacations and much more.
Venue: Expo BERLIN VITAL Fall is held at the former Airport Tempelhof (Platz der Luftbrucke 5, 12101 Berlin).

Generali Breakfast Run
Saturday 15 September
Free for all participants of the BMW Berlin Marathon, the Generali Breakfast Run takes place on Saturday 15th September. Runners will start 9:30 am from the Schloss Charlottenburg and will head west towards the Olympiastadion. At the completion of the 6km run, all participants will be served breakfast where they can load up their energy reserves for the big race on the following day, the BMW Berlin Marathon.
