How well do you know your Wimbledon Champions?
We’re kicking off the week with some tennis trivia!
As the oldest tennis tournament in the world, we’ve seen a lot of Wimbledon victories over the years. Over 125 years ago in 1877, the first Wimbledon champion was crowned. From a group of twenty-two male competitors, twenty-seven year old Spencer William Gore took out the tournament in front of a crowd of 200, who had paid a shilling apiece to attend, by defeating his opponent William Marshall in a decisive 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 match lasting only forty-eight minutes.
Since that day those many years ago, we have watched countless tennis legends battle against each other for the almighty victory of this prestigious event. Test your knowledge and see if you can list all 29 players.
